Eastern Road

The historic Eastern Road area, named after the road that hugs the northeastern coast of New Providence Island, is quite possibly the most charming area of New Providence. This stretch of tree shaded roads and colourful Colonial architecture has historically been called home by many dignitaries, prosperous Bahamian families, and wealthy foreigners in search of an easier lifestyle.

The coast of Eastern Road is decorated with brightly painted Colonial homes with extensive tropical gardens that meander down to the glistening sea. The many residential communities that branch from Eastern Road have proven to be quite popular due to the close proximity to shops, marinas, schools, and downtown Nassau Bahamas.
