Big Point Beachfront Property
Property Description
Oceanfront Splendor
A beautiful beachfront property, located in the quaint settlement of Hope Town, in the Abaco islands, Bahamas, has 93 feet on the Atlantic Ocean and a cave nearby which is only accessible by water.
Retreat to an oasis of beautiful sandy beaches and a gentle Bahamas breeze with lush natural tropical foliage, a choice location accessed by a quiet lane in White Sound on the island of Elbow Cay, a mile south of the village of Hope Town, an idyllic setting to build your island home.
Adventure seekers may want to explore Pirate's Cove, a nearby cave beneath a high rock cliff to the north, accessible only by water. A small beach can be enjoyed there at low tide. Surfers will be delighted to know that there is a good reef directly in front of the property.
The Abaco Islands are approximately 175 miles east of Palm Beach, Florida and surrounded by an astounding barrier reef. The area is ideal for sailing, boating, fishing, diving and surfing. Hope Town harbour is naturally landlocked; one of the safest hurricane havens in the Bahamas. Its sheltered waters and location in the center of the Abaco Cays makes it an ideal base for exploring the nearby islands and miles of sandy beaches.
Mode of transportation on the island is primarily by golf cart. There is no motorized traffic in the village itself.
Hope Town was settled by Loyalists in the 18th century when it became a prominent fishing village in the Bahamas. Many of those descendants still live there today in this close-knit community of only 300 people.
