This peaceful and secluded private island is 24.69 acres in size with elevations of around 11 feet at the highest point. With a variety of different shore types, Low Cay has something for everyone. Low Cay, that shares a long history with San Salvador, was sighted by Christopher Columbus in 1492, and was the site of shipwrecks during the time of great sailing ships, and was recently the chosen location of a scientific study of the San Salvador Iguana.
